Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2021

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Nancy Matthews was Assistant Deputy Minister, Heritage, Culture and Tourism Kevin Finnerty, with annual earnings of $233,239.56. Assistant Deputy Minister, Sport, Recreation and Community Programs Steve Harlow made $220,499.57, Deputy Minister Alexander Bezzina made $212,372.14, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Tourism Division Richard Mckinnell round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $211,169.92 for the Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries 2021 Sunshine List.
